Vermont Remains Special for St. Louis

Martin St. Louis remains one of college hockey's biggest success stories, a smaller player who showed at the University of Vermont that he could dominate despite his size. Today he stands second in the NHL in scoring and continues to prove his ability, nearly 15 years removed from his college experience.

Even after all that time, fond memories come quickly when he talks about Burlington, as he did recently with NHL.com's Bob Snow:

"Looking back, I wouldn't change a thing -- the best years of my life," he said. "Vermont has always been in my life. I have a lot of friends there and keep in touch, try to make it up there every summer."

With three young boys, St. Louis' future may bring him back to the Green Mountain State even more often.

"That's where they want to go," he said. "That came out this past year. They told me they want to play at Vermont."
