Colin Greening hit double-digits in goals in each of his four years at Cornell.

Colin Greening has made a big impact in his first full NHL season, recording 12 goals and earning a nod as an All-Star Rookie at the NHL All-Star Game last weekend in Ottawa, where he plays for the Senators. There he turned even more heads with his tremendous speed, bested only by Michigan alum Carl Hagelin in the Fastest Skater competition.

Greening's success is no surprise to Cornell fans, who saw the Newfoundland native contribute consistently in four years in Ithaca, paying off with an ECAC championship by the team he captained as a senior.

Just days after his All-Star appearance, we caught up to Greening to talk about his unlikely path to college hockey, his memories of Cornell and the indescribable atmosphere at Lynah Rink.
