Elite Seniors Up for CLASS Award

Twenty of the finest examples of student-athletes in NCAA Division I men's hockey are candidates for the 2014 Senior CLASS Award, the NCAA announced Thursday.

The award honors a fourth-year player for their dedication to being an all-around student-athlete. Candidates typically excel on the ice and in the classroom while making noteworthy contributions to the community as well.

Army's Cheyne Rocha won the award in 2013, joining such past honorees as Colin Greening of the Ottawa Senators and national champions Jack Connolly and Jeff Lerg.
