10 Teams Earn Preseason No. 1 Votes

The latest sign of the parity that has gripped college hockey can be seen in the preseason USCHO.com Poll, released Monday, which features 10 teams with first-place votes.

National Polls

Boston College earned the top spot with 19 first-place votes and 907 points. Minnesota Duluth trailed with 12 first-place votes and 836 points.

Last year's two national finalists - defending champion Providence and Boston University - each claimed six first-place votes. The Friars last season became the third champion in a row and the fourth in five years to win the school's first NCAA crown.
