The World Cup of Hockey, set for September in Toronto, will have a distinct NCAA feel, with 31 former college players taking part and at least one alum on every roster except Russia's.

The United States leads the way with 18 of its 23 players having developed in the college ranks. All three goaltenders - Ben Bishop, Jonathan Quick and Cory Schneider - played in Hockey East, while 10 forwards and five defensemen are former college players.

World Cup of Hockey Rosters

In all, 17 NCAA schools have former players in the World Cup, led by Michigan (5), Minnesota (4), Wisconsin (4), North Dakota (3), Boston College (2) and Michigan State (2) all boasting multiple representatives.

Team North America - comprised of players from Canada and the United States age 23 and under - features several familiar faces from recent NCAA seasons, led by Hobey Baker Award winners Johnny Gaudreau and Jack Eichel. Seven alums are on the roster, including three of the seven defensemen: Shayne Gostisbehere, Colton Parayko and Jacob Trouba.
