A roster nearly entirely filled with Division I commits celebrated the Tri-City Storm's first Clark Cup as USHL champion following a three games-to-none sweep of the Dubuque Fighting Saints in the finals.

Western Michigan recruit Wade Allison - who earlier this year was named the MVP of the USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game - earned Clark Cup MVP honors after leading the postseason with 9 goals in 11 games. Wisconsin commit Dan Labosky led all scorers with 19 points.

Twenty Division I schools will welcome players from the Tri-City roster in the next year or two, with a pair of players headed to Clarkson, Miami and Minnesota State.

Goaltender Jake Kielly, who posted a .949 save percentage in the playoffs, will join Clarkson in the fall. He stopped 28 shots in a 4-1 victory in Game 3 of the championship series.

Former Michigan star and Michigan Tech assistant coach Bill Muckalt took over as Tri-City head coach and general manager last off-season and led the team to a title in his first season. His staff includes Minnesota graduate Ben Gordon and Ferris State graduate Taylor Nelson as assistant coaches.

Tri-City celebrated its championship in front of a sellout crowd of 4,088 at the Viaero Center in Kearney, Nebraska.
