42 Invited to US Junior Camp
Players and recruits from 14 schools among those competing for spots on 2017 U.S. National Junior Team.

Thirty-one NCAA players and recruits are among the 42 players invited to the USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp, USA Hockey announced Tuesday.

The camp is set for July 30 through Aug. 7 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich., and is an opportunity for players to audition for the the 2017 U.S. National Junior Team.

Fourteen schools have players or recruits participating in the camp, led by Boston University (six representatives), Minnesota (five) and Michigan (four).

Camp will include international competitions against Canada, Finland and Sweden. The Canadian entry will including incoming NCAA freshmen Dante Fabbro (Boston University) and Tyson Jost (North Dakota).

St. Cloud State head coach Bob Motzko is the head coach of the U.S. team, with assistance from Greg Brown (Boston College), Kris Mayotte (Providence), Steve Miller (Air Force) and Grant Potulny (Minnesota). Michigan alum Mike Knuble and Michigan Tech alum Ron Rolston will serve as guest coaches at the evaluation camp.

The 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship will be held Dec. 26, 2016, through Jan. 5, 2017, in Montreal and Toronto.
