LeafsTV to Air Frozen Four in Canada

LeafsTV to Air Frozen Four in Canada

Fans in the U.S. and Canada will have the opportunity to watch the NCAA Frozen Four this week on ESPN and ESPN2 in the states and LeafsTV north of the border.

Those high-definition broadcasts highlight a busy week of radio and television coverage from St. Paul, Minn. Gary Thorne, Barry Melrose and Clay Matvik will call the action on the television broadcasts.

Those ESPN-produced broadcasts are also available online at ESPN3.com (limited to certain Internet service providers).

The addition of LeafsTV brings the U.S. college game to the Canadian audience and the vast pool of potential future NCAA players. Canadian players account for more than 30% of U.S. college hockey players. LeafsTV will carry Thursday’s semifinal games live and will show the championship game on a tape-delayed basis at approximately 10 p.m. ET on Saturday (immediately following Ford Leafs Nation Postgame).

On the radio side, in addition to each of the four teams’ radio broadcasts, Westwood One Radio will provide a feed to more than 100 affiliate stations nationwide. Sean Grande, Cap Raeder and Adam Wodon will call the action for Westwood One.
