Backcheck: Marty Reasoner
One of the Eagles’ best players when Boston College re-emerged as a national power in the 1990s, Marty Reasoner was back in Boston this week with the New York Islanders.
He played at TD Garden, the site of his final college game. Although that was a loss to Michigan in the national championship, he recalled his fond memories about that team’s NCAA Tournament run and talked about how his time with the Eagles prepared him for his NHL career, now 14 years and counting.
Reasoner, who shares a locker room with former BC teammate Mike Mottau and former BU rival Jay Pandolfo, talked about that rivalry and the surprising revelation that Terrier players may not be so bad after all.
