Recruiting Tips: Tommy Wingels

Former Miami star shares his advice to prospective college players and his NCAA memories.

Tommy Wingels isn’t too far removed from his stellar three-year career at Miami, now in his fourth pro season as a member of the San Jose Sharks.

If his days of being recruited started to seem a distant memory, however, he got a reminder recently. His brother, Johnny, went through the same process and is now a freshman defenseman at Miami.

We asked Tommy what advice he gave Johnny and other prospective college players, plus some of the biggest things he took from playing NCAA hockey.
