Shnarped Update Includes NCAA
Player-tracking app developed by alums now includes all 59 Division I programs.
The developers of the app Shnarped, Princeton alums Dustin Sproat and Kyle Hagel, have embraced their NCAA roots with the latest update, which now includes players from all 59 Division I programs.

College Hockey Inc. is proud to work with Shnarped to provide statistics for the free app, which is available for Apple and Android devices.
The app allows fans to track the performance of their favorite players on a daily, game-to-game basis. Users can also interact with players, sending them a “pound” or virtual fist bump. Verified players – including about 100 NCAA players already – can in turn interact directly with their fans.
Sproat and Hagel appeared on the CBC show “Dragon’s Den,” a reality show for entrepreneurs where they earned support for the project, earlier this year.
Roots on campus
Shnarped is not the first time the two have worked together. They were part of a group of players who founded Hockey Players for Kids (HP4K), a nonprofit that works with hockey players to help them make a positive impact on the communities where they live.
HP4K’s entire Board of Directors is made up of former college players, five of them from Princeton. Sproat traces his motivation and ability to launch both Shnarped and HP4K to campus.
“If I hadn’t gone to college, there’s no way I could do these things,” he told College Hockey Inc. last year. “It helps set your sights high, shows you what you can accomplish and gives you the tools you need to be able to make it happen.”
