Alums Head to NHL Camps
503 former NCAA stars contending for NHL spots as training camps open.
More than 500 former NCAA players reported to NHL training camps on Friday as teams took to the ice to begin the 2015-16 season.

Those 503 players represented 54 schools and included 87 rookies who played NCAA hockey in 2014-15, led by No. 2 overall pick Jack Eichel (Boston University) with the Buffalo Sabres.
Wisconsin led all schools with 31 alumni in training camps; Michigan (29), Boston College (27), North Dakota (26) and Minnesota (25) followed closely behind.
Pittsburgh and San Jose share the most NCAA alums in camp with 24 each, two of eight teams with more than 20.
