Recruits Set for U17 Four Nations
19 recruits among group headed to Slovakia this week.
Nineteen Division I commitments pledged to 10 different schools are among the 22 players named to the U.S. National Under-17 Team that will play in the Four Nations Tournament beginning Wednesday in Puchov, Slovakia.
Minnesota has four recruits on the roster, while Boston University and Michigan have three each.
Nineteen of the 22 players on the team play full time with USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program, with three – Reilly Walsh (Harvard), Jake Gricius (Uncommitted) and Brannon McManus (Minnesota) – joining the group for this event. Gricius is one of three players on the team who have not committed to an NCAA team (along with Randy Hernandez and Max Gildon).
Former Wisconsin player and current NTDP coach Don Granato will be the head coach for the event, which features teams from Russia, Slovakia and Switzerland.
