USHL Prospects to Face Off
Recruits headed to 22 schools set to face off in Top Prospects Game.
Dozens of future college stars will take the ice Tuesday night for the 2016 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Omaha, Neb., with a free live broadcast of the game available at USHL.com.
Thirty-four of the players have already committed to Division I programs, with a remarkable 22 NCAA teams represented – more than one-third of all of Division I. North Dakota and Notre Dame lead all schools with four recruits each in the game, followed by Cornell, Miami, Minnesota, Northeastern, Providence and Western Michigan (two each).
The selection process for players competing in the game was completed in cooperation with NHL general managers and scouts, NHL Central Scouting and USHL general managers. All 40 players chosen are eligible for the 2016 NHL Draft, including 27 players that are in their first year of eligibility for the NHL Draft.
A Skills Competition at 7:35 p.m. ET precedes the game, set to face off at 8:05 p.m. ET.
