U.S. Roster Picked for Hlinka Gretzky Cup
Commits among those selected from Select 17 camp.
Sixteen NCAA commits are among the 21 players named to the 2018 U.S. Under-18 Men’s Select Team that will compete in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup next month in Alberta.
The roster was chosen from participants at the USA Hockey Boys Select 17 Player Development Camp, which concluded Monday in Amherst, N.Y.

Ten schools have committed recruits on the roster, led by North Dakota with three and Boston University, Harvard and Michigan State with two each.
Newly rebranded as the Hlinka Gretzky Cup, the tournament is an annual event held each August for national under-18 teams from around the world. This year’s event will be held Aug. 6-11 in Red Deer and Edmonton, Alberta, the first time the tournament has been held in North America since 1996.
This year’s even will feature teams from Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and the United States.
