NHL Central Scouting is projecting another big year for NCAA hockey at the NHL Draft.

The organization’s “Players to Watch” list for the 2020 NHL Draft, released Monday, includes 118 players who are in school, committed to a school, or playing in an NCAA-eligible North American junior league.

Wisconsin freshman Dylan Holloway (Bragg Creek, Alta./Okotoks-AJHL) leads the way, one of three NCAA players or prospects with an “A” rating as a first-round candidate.

In all, 33 schools have players or recruits listed, more than half of the 60 schools in Division I. Harvard, North Dakota and Wisconsin lead all schools with seven representatives each on the list, followed by Michigan, Minnesota Duluth and Northeastern with six each.

Nineteen of those listed have yet to commit to a school but are playing in a North American NCAA-eligible junior league.

Holloway is one of five freshmen to appear on the list. He is joined by Northeastern’s Jeremie Bucheler (St.-Laurent, Que./Victoria-USHL), Ohio State’s Michael Gildon (Plano, Texas/U.S. NTDP), Connecticut’s Yan Kuznetsov (Murmansk, Russia/Sioux Falls-USHL) and Harvard’s Ryan Siedem (Madison, N.J./Central Illinois-USHL).
