Olympic Men’s Hockey to Feature 56 Collegians
Nineteen current NCAA players among those rostered in Beijing
Fifty-five current and former NCAA players, including 19 active college hockey standouts, will represent their countries at the 2022 Winter Olympics when the men’s hockey preliminary round begins Wednesday, February 9, in Beijing.
Nine of the 12 nations competing in the men’s tournament will have NCAA representation. The entire United States 26-man roster features past or present NCAA products, including 15 current college players, while Canada is next with 12 (four active).
Other countries with NCAA representatives include:

1 – Germany, Slovakia
Thirty-one different NCAA schools will be represented during the men’s tournament, topped by Michigan’s six players, followed by four each from Minnesota and St. Cloud State. Twelve schools will boast multiple players on Olympic rosters.
The preliminary round begins Wednesday with a trio of matchups: ROC vs. Switzerland (3:40 a.m. ET), Czech Republic vs. Denmark (8:10 a.m. ET), and Sweden vs. Latvia (11:10 p.m. ET).
