College Hockey Well-Represented at 2024 World Junior Championship
More Than 40 Current, Future NCAA Players to Compete in Tourney
Forty-four current and committed NCAA Division I men’s hockey players will compete in the 2024 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Junior Championship, which gets underway Dec. 26 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
A whopping 24 different NCAA Division I teams, covering all six NCAA Division I men’s conferences, will be represented during the tournament. Boston College leads with seven players, followed by Michigan, Michigan State and Minnesota with four each. Eight schools will boast multiple players on tournament rosters.
Nine of the 10 participating countries will have NCAA representation, topped by the 22 college hockey players on the United States roster. Slovakia (seven), Latvia (four), Finland (three), Norway (three) and Canada (two) all have multiple NCAA players on their respective rosters:
