College Hockey, Inc. was lucky enough to take part in the third annual Pond Hockey Classic Feb. 3-5, 2012, on Meredith, N.H.'s Lake Waukewan.

Unseasonably warm weather moved the event from its usual location on Lake Winnipesaukee, providing a new challenge for event organizers. Led by former UMass forward Scott Crowder, the tournament's founder, 175 teams took part on 18 rinks at the new site.

We caught up with Crowder - whose father, Bruce, is the former head coach at Northeastern and UMass Lowell, to talk about the challenge of hosting the event.

The event brought together dozens of college hockey teammates of all ages, who were able to relive past glories on the ice.
