U.S. college hockey's significant impact in the NHL Draft should continue in 2014, as 29 current or future college players are among the select group invited to participate in the NHL Scouting Combine May 26-31 in Toronto.

Players or recruits representing 18 programs are set to take part in the combine, which consists of team interviews, medical examinations and physical testing. A total of 119 players are expected to take part in the combine.

More than 60 current or future NCAA players have been selected in each of the last 12 NHL Drafts, including 63 in 2013.

North Dakota has four recruits slated to take part in the combine, followed by Boston College with three representatives. Boston University, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska Omaha and New Hampshire each have a pair of recruits attending.

Boston College's Thatcher Demko - the top-ranked North American goaltender in NHL Central Scouting's final rankings - and St. Lawrence's Gavin Bayreuther are the two players invited who played college hockey in 2013-14. Most of the others listed below are expected to arrive on campus this fall.
