Boston College recruit Colin White scored the game-winning goal in overtime and the U.S. National Under-18 Team claimed the gold medal at the IIHF World Under-18 Championship Sunday in Zug, Switzerland.

The U.S. defeated Finland, 2-1, in the gold medal game. It marks the sixth gold medal in the last seven years for Team USA at the Under-18 level and the ninth all-time. Seventeen players on the U.S. team are committed to NCAA schools.

White's future BC teammate, Jeremy Bracco, assisted on the game-winning tally, a one-timer at 12:44 of the overtime period. Boston University recruit Charles McAvoy had the other assist on the play.

The U.S. held an overwhelming 62-20 shot advantage in the game.
