Immediate Impact

What players were best prepared to make the jump to the AHL and ECHL levels in 2010-11? Judging by each league’s All-Rookie Team, those in college hockey had the biggest impact.

Four of the six AHL honorees and five of six in the ECHL were former college players. Eight of those nine college players finished their college careers last season.

Zac Dalpe (Ohio State), Erik Gustafsson (Northern Michigan) and Rhett Rakhshani (Denver) have all had a taste of NHL competition this season in addition to earning AHL All-Rookie honors.
