U.S. team of 2000-born stars features 10 players committed to six schools.


Recruits Named to Youth Olympics

Ten players committed to Division I programs and seven other recruits have been named to the United States team that will compete in the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games, USA Hockey announcemed today.

The 17-player roster, made up of 200-born players selected to the Select 15 Player Development Camp last summer, will compete Feb. 12-21 in Lillehammer, Norway.

The group includes three Boston University commits (Jack Deboer, Tyler Weiss and Jake Wise), two Boston College commits (T.J. Walsh, Adam Samuelsson) and two Michigan commits (Mattias Samuelsson, Jacob Semik). Harvard (Oliver Wahlstrom), Miami (Jonathan Gruden) and Notre Dame (Jacob Pivonka) also have future players participating.

Former Bowling Green player and head coach Scott Paluch will lead the team with J.D. Forrest, former Boston College player, assisting.
