NCAA Alumni Figure Prominently on 4 Nations Rosters

Twenty-three former NCAA men’s hockey standouts, including a pair of Hobey Baker Memorial Award winners, have been selected to rosters for the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off set for February in Boston and Montreal.

Thirteen different NCAA schools will be represented during the tournament, including multiple alumni from Boston University (four), Michigan (four), Boston College (three), Maine (two) and Minnesota (two).

The 23-man United States roster features 18 college hockey alumni, including 2015 Hobey Baker Memorial Award recipient Jack Eichel (Boston University, 2014-15). Three NCAA alums – all defensemen – were named to Canada’s roster, including 2019 Hobey Baker Memorial Award winner Cale Makar (UMass, 2017-19).

Erik Haula (Minnesota, 2010-13) and Gustav Nyquist (Maine, 2008-11) will represent Finland and Sweden, respectively.

The 2025 4 Nations Face-Off takes place February 12-20 in Boston and Montreal. The tournament can be seen on TNT, ESPN and ABC in the United States and on Sportsnet and TVA in Canada. For more information, visit NHL.com.
