NCAA Players on International Stage at 2025 World Juniors
Nearly 40 Current, Future NCAA Players to Compete in Tourney
Thirty-seven current and committed NCAA Division I men’s hockey players will compete in the 2025 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Junior Championship, which gets underway today in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Sixteen different NCAA Division I teams will be represented during the tournament. Boston College leads with eight players, followed by Boston University (four), UMass (three), and Michigan State (three). Eleven schools will boast multiple players on World Junior rosters.
Eight of the 10 participating countries will have NCAA representation, topped by the 22 college hockey players on the United States roster. Slovakia (six), Finland (two), Latvia (two), and Sweden (two) all have multiple NCAA players on their respective rosters:
