Forty-six of the top American hockey players born in 2002 have been invited to USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program Evaluation Camp. The camp, which will help select the 2018-19 U.S. National Under-17 Team, will take place March 23-27, at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Mich.
The 46 players, including 24 forwards, 16 defensemen and six goaltenders, will be divided into two teams for practices, games and off-ice training.
Thirty of the invitees have verbally committed to 14 different Division I schools. Minnesota Duluth and Notre Dame each have four commits invited, with Boston University, North Dakota and Wisconsin having three apiece. Sixteen players invited are uncommitted to this point.
The 46 players on the roster represent 19 different states.
Camp opens next Friday, March 23, with the first of five games set for Saturday at 3 p.m.
