The Hockey Humanitarian Award has named its 15 candidates for the 2015 honor, given annually at the Frozen Four to "college hockey's finest citizen."
The award, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, recognizes a student-athlete who makes significant contributions not only to his or her team, but also to the community-at-large through leadership in volunteerism.
Six Division I men's players are among the candidates, including returning Hobey Baker Award finalist Joel Rumpel (Wisconsin) and Sebastien Gingras of defending national champion Union.
